Jennaca Davies

Jennaca Leigh Davies is a designer who works with elements to create structure, shape, pattern, and form. She received her master’s degree from the Rhode Island School of Design in 2007 and since graduation has continued her exploration with new technologies such as laser cutting, waterjet cutting, and cad cam while also employing traditional metalsmithing techniques such as enameling and fabrication. Jennaca’s work has received numerous awards including the Hayward Prize for Fine Arts from the American Austrian Foundation , the MJSA Scholarship 2005 and 2006 through the Rhode Island Foundation, and recently spent a semester as an artist in residence at the Oregon College of Art and Craft. Jennaca received Bachelor of Architecture and Bachelor of Building Science degrees from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and continues to practice architecture part time.
