Ryan Sovereign RISD ’97 [Industrial Design] + William Beck RISD ’98 [Sculpture]
Brooklyn, NY designers Ryan Sovereign and William Beck have been collaborating on art and music since their first meeting, and in 2005 launched the Sovereign Beck line of men’s neckties. The collection of limited-edition handmade ties has received a lot of favorable attention from the media and consumers for its blend of classic and contemporary elements — or as one reviewer put it, because they allow “wearers [to] feel less like lawyers or bankers, even if they are.” Sold in select boutiques in the US and Canada, Sovereign Beck products have been presented at the Wallspace Gallery in Chelsea, NYC and the POOL trade show in Las Vegas.
