RISD ’04 [Jewelry + Metalsmithing]
Jonathan Glatt (www.101jewelrydesign.com) arrived at RISD with several careers already behind him. He acquired his marketing savvy in the antique and auction business, and developed his superior craftsmanship through work as a model maker, stone setter and jeweler. Studying Jewelry + Metalsmithing at RISD, the artist united his professional experience with his passion for simple, elegant design and his interest in industrially produced items — plastic zip ties, resistors, even nylon bearings. He develops his jewelry production lines from his studio in Warren, RI.
