Jack Richter creates furniture, jewelry, sculpture and other products from richterstudio inc., based in Providence. Dubbed, “Products for a hostile world,” his Bulletproof line of edgy, aggressive jewelry draws inspiration from mythological and pop culture icons of female power. More recently, Richter has developed a line of products under the American Gulag brand, which represents a wearable, aesthetic reminder of a US government that, “is effectively demolishing our democratic ideals.”
