For more than a decade, Abra Gourby has been developing Abra Couture Jewelry, a New York studio known for its chic neo-classical sterling and costume jewelry designs. By the mid-1990s fashion editors at major magazines were heralding the studio for its clean designs and innovative approach to materials. A number of celebrities also began wearing her work, ensuring its popularity through wide public exposure. Today, Abra Couture continues to evolve as new resin techniques allow for even greater experimentation with costume jewelry design. The work is available at boutiques, museum shops and other fine retailers throughout the country.
