Josh Owen

RISD MFA ’98 [Furniture Design]
As principal of owenlogikdesign (www.owenlogik.com), an industrial and graphic design studio in Philadelphia, Josh Owen designs innovative furniture and lighting for such notable firms as DMD, Culture & Commerce, The Material Connexion, Nike and Umbra. His Tone Knob Lamp is designed so that the entire fixture rotates to give off more light, while his Occasionally Remarkable Tables change color based on temperature. Owen’s work has been published in international design magazines including Abitare, Intramuros and Metropolis, and has been exhibited in shows in New York, Denver, Philadelphia and Verona, Italy, among other locations. In addition to his graduate degree from RISD, Owen holds a BFA in Sculpture and a BA in Visual Studies from Cornell University and currently teaches product design at Philadelphia University.
