Just months after completing his degree at RISD, Sascha Kaposi moved to Seattle to join the design team at Progressive International Corporation, a housewares manufacturer with a reputation for practical innovation and high-quality production. With several years of product development now behind him, Kaposi is a senior designer for kitchenwares, involved in every step of the process — from sketching new concepts to approving production standards to obtaining patents. His designs debut each year at industry shows in Chicago, New Orleans, Los Angeles, San Francisco and Frankfurt, Germany, and are favorites among international retailers such as Williams-Sonoma, Crate & Barrel, Linens ’n Things and Sur La Table.
