RISD BFA '99 [Textiles]
Coral and Tusk was launched in 2007 by Stephanie Housley, a 1999 RISD Graduate from the Textile Department. Stephanie has been living in New York and working as a wovens textile designer ever since. This work takes her to India, where she spends several months out of the year designing new fabric collections. This travel combined with her experience of textiles and craft inspire and inform her unique and sensitive handling of color, surface and imagery. She is also particularly interested in the sea, both above and below the water. Coral and Tusk produces collections of embroidered products and laser cut stationery based on original artwork.
